When I decided to start knitting Santa hats for all three children, I had two criteria:
They had to be nice to look at, and they had to be quick knits. In other words - needle size 3.5 and up.
We chose a thick Santa hat from Klompelompe's book "Knit all year round".
However, the recipe wasn't to my liking, so I made changes so that
The "seam" at the back stayed in the same place all the way. That is, when felling every other time
2 sts and 1 st respectively, then I alternated between casting on front and back stitch markers at the sides.
I think it made the hat prettier.
The yarn is merino wool from Sandnesgarn and the tassels are made with
those plastic tassel things that make it easy to make tassels quickly - RECOMMENDED!
Now we need to get out and take some Christmas card pictures soon...
Great advent week!
