This year's May 17 outfit ♥︎

This year's May 17 outfit for the kids is ready,

and I was reasonably relieved when I realized that we could actually

reuse the clothes from last year for the big brothers. Phew...

Little sister, on the other hand, needed something new, and this year we went for the knitted version.

The dance dress and 3-in-1 kiss from Ministrikk are knitted by the world's best grandmother

in Lille lark from Dale Garn. The icing on the cake is the little national costume heart and the 17th of May bow.

I've sewn fantasy bunads for the big brothers every year. Nikkersen is a cross between

own pattern and pattern from Stoff & Stil, and are sewn in wool. They are practical and comfortable.

We use them several times a year, both at Santa's party in the kindergarten and for May 17.

The waistcoat was designed by me and is sewn in red brocade fabric. Buttons and fabric from Stoff & Stil.

I'll try my hand at making patterns eventually, but I don't have all the sizes in place yet.

Wishing everyone a great celebration tomorrow!
