Photoshop: Cut out images

There are many ways to cut out images/elements in Photoshop.


Sometimes I use the “Pen tool”, but the way I find easiest is explained below.

It takes a good dose of patience to get a good cutout, 

and it is wise to choose images where the contrasts are clear.

If you want the background to be white, 

then it pays to choose images where the background is initially light.
